Apple Crumble and Ice-Cream

Made Apple Crumble this afternoon. S1 is a terrible fruit-eater, and the number of fruits that he would eat can be counted on one hand. Even fresh apples, he has trouble eating...But pop them into a crumble, he would happily devour them. I know nothing beats fresh fruit...but some kind of fruit is better than NO fruit, right?

Recipe

100 g Block Butter
200 g Flour
180 g Sugar
6 Apples (Peeled, cored, and diced)
Cinnamon Powder
Vanilla Essence

1) Arrange apples onto an oven-safe casserole dish
(I like to use PYREX as I can see the apple layer)
2) Add half of the sugar into the apples and mix well.
3) Sprinkle cinnamon powder and vanilla essence
4) Rub the flour and butter until resemble breadcrumbs
5) Mix in the remaining sugar.
6) Pour crumble mixture onto the apples, and pat lightly
7) Bake in a preheated oven of 180 deg C for about 50 minutes.
Note: This recipe makes quite a BIG tray
